About the role

The Procurement Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for establishing, scaling, and managing Pro Spot's long-term sourcing and procurement function. Distinct from transactional purchasing, this role focuses on total cost control, comprehensive risk management, data-driven negotiation, and long-term strategic supplier alignment. The Procurement Manager will directly optimize supplier relationships, evaluate supply chain vulnerabilities, and lead strategic cost-reduction initiatives to deliver a target 5x to 10x ROI via total cost reductions, ensuring long-term business continuity and competitive advantage. Job DutiesCost Control & Savings Integration: Develop and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy to identify cost-containment opportunities, optimize spending patterns, and hit aggressive target cost-reduction milestones across all commodity categories. Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Establish frameworks for assessing, monitoring, and cultivating long-term partnerships with critical manufacturing, hardware, and engineering suppliers to ensure favorable terms, top-tier quality, and priority delivery timelines. Supply Chain Risk Management: Proactively evaluate and mitigate supply chain vulnerabilities, single-source dependencies, geopolitical bottlenecks, and inflation risks through dual-sourcing strategies and safety stock structuring. Strategic Alignment & Planning: Partner closely with Engineering, New Product Development (NPD), and Operations to align current and future technical roadmaps with macro supply chain capacities and optimal pricing tiers. Data-Driven Decision Making: Build and manage detailed spend analytics tools, key market index trackers, and inventory KPIs to drive quantitative sourcing decisions, negotiation strategies, and supplier performance scoring. Contract & Agreement Negotiations: Author, negotiate, and enforce complex Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Long-Term Agreements (LTAs), and service level terms to secure pricing stability and legal protection for Pro Spot. Inventory & Operational Synchronization: Collaborate closely with the Planning and Production floor tracking teams to align strategic long-lead raw material commitments with dynamic factory floor demand constraints.
Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel required, including supplier facility audits and cross-border operational trips.
Qualifications
Experience: 10+ years of qualified experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, or Global Procurement environments, with a minimum of 5 years in a dedicated, high-level Strategic Procurement Management role.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or experience. Sourcing Excellence: Proven track record of managing $10M+ in direct material spend, executing complex supplier contracts, and driving structural savings. Analytical Depth: Expertise in cost modeling, total cost of ownership (TCO) evaluation, and leveraging ERP/MRP metrics to discover spend anomalies. Cross-Border Capability: Familiarity with global sourcing, international freight logistics, tariff tracking, and managing international vendor networks. Communication & Leadership: Superior executive presence, negotiation skill, and the ability to champion change management cross-functionally across operations and finance divisions.
Certifications: (Preferred): Professional certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), CSCP, or APICS/CPIM are highly advantageous.
