About the role

A large retail brand wants its in-house creative work to hit a lot harder. Think sportsgraphics: depth, stacking, strong type, visuals that carry a campaign. The brand peoplealready know and trust stays, the execution gets sharper.This starts as a freelance engagement with about one day a week onsite. If it clicks thereis a path to a permanent seat, though that is not locked in up front.What you'll do- Concept and design campaign visuals with real weight to them: layered, type-driven, bold- Rebuild leadership decks into presentations people want to look at- Push the aesthetic forward while keeping the brand recognizable- Work alongside an in-house designer already carrying a lot of this- Flex into motion work if you have it, at roughly a fifth of your timeWhat we're looking for- 5+ years designing brand and campaign work, in-house or agency- A portfolio with range in composition: depth, layering, typography, a fashion-forward eye- Expert Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign- Strong presentation design, PowerPoint included- Based in the Charlotte metro and able to be onsite one day a week- Someone who runs their own work without much oversightNice to have- After Effects, Cinema 4D, or similar motion and 3D- Retail, CPG, sports, or apparel experience- Photo art direction or on-set support
