Role Description: The Finance and Administration Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Franklin, KY, responsible for overseeing financial and administrative operations. This position is responsible for payroll processing, tax reporting, pension payments, employee onboarding, and benefits administration. Ensures accurate and timely federal, state, and local tax filings, coordinates retirement and insurance enrollments, supports employees with benefit-related questions, and maintains required drug-testing The role includes budgeting, forecasting, monitoring cash flow, and analyzing financial performance to support strategic decision-making. The Manager leads administrative functions such as office operations, policies, and compliance documentation, and may supervise finance and administrative staff. Daily responsibilities also involve collaborating with leadership on financial planning, responding to audits, and recommending process improvements to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in accounting is required. Minimum 5 years of experience in utility accounting preferred. Candidates should possess skills in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting for accurate preparation, review, and compliance. Candidates should possess skills in Accounting for general ledger management, reconciliations, and transaction processing. Knowledge of utility or public sector finance, including regulatory and compliance requirements, is beneficial. Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling financial, payroll, employee and customer information. Strong proficiency with financial software, spreadsheets, along with clear written and verbal communication skills, is beneficial.
