Cloud Network Engineer - Bay area only

For our Detroit based client we require a Cloud Network Engineer to work onsite in San Jose, CAOnly Candidates local to San Francisco Bay area will be considered.Role: Cloud Network EngineerJob Responsibilities:-Design, implement, and support secure, scalable, and resilient cloud network architectures across Amazon Web Services (AWS), and hybrid environments-Configure and manage AWS VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, network ACLs, Transit Gateway, AWS Network Firewall, Elastic Load Balancing, VPC endpoints, and related connectivity services-Implement and support hybrid connectivity using site-to-site VPN, AWS Direct Connect, AWS Site-to-Site VPN, and other secure connections between cloud and on-premises environmentsCoordinate with cloud architects, network, cybersecurity, infrastructure, application, and operations teams to align network designs, traffic flows, dependencies, deployment schedules, and service readiness-Implement cloud network security, segmentation, routing, DNS, IP address management, ingress and egress controls, and private connectivity patterns in accordance with approved standards-Monitor cloud network performance, availability, traffic flows, and security events using services such as Amazon CloudWatch, and VPC Flow Logs, and recommend remediation or optimization actions-Troubleshoot cloud connectivity, routing, latency, DNS, firewall, and hybrid networking issues, and support incident resolution, root cause analysis, and post-implementation validation-Maintain network diagrams, configuration baselines, implementation records, as-built documentation, and operational handoff materials to support governance, auditability, and ongoing service management
