Location: Summit, NJ, Asbury Park, NJ, or Charleston, SC. Remote considered for experienced producing sales traders.
About the Opportunity: Renaissance Macro is seeking an institutional equity sales trader to join our growing team. Our primary focus is on candidates with approximately 2–5 years of institutional equity sales trading experience who understand the mechanics of an institutional trading desk and are looking to build a long-term career. This role offers the opportunity to learn every aspect of the institutional trading business while working alongside an experienced team in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities: Initially, you'll be involved across all aspects of the business, including: Institutional equity trade execution Institutional client coverage and relationship management Trading desk operations End-of-day allocations and trade processing Middle-office support Learning and utilizing our macro and technical research platform in support of institutional clients Over time, the goal is to develop into a producing institutional sales trader with increasing responsibility for client relationships and business development.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate: Has approximately 2–5 years of institutional equity sales trading experience Understands the workflow and mechanics of an institutional trading desk Is intellectually curious and passionate about financial markets Is accountable, dependable, and detail-oriented Has an entrepreneurial mindset and enjoys taking initiative Embraces AI and technology to improve productivity and client service Wants to build a long-term career as part of a growing firm For early-career candidates, we believe the best learning happens by working closely with the trading desk. Accordingly, our preference is for candidates based in the New York metropolitan area (Northern New Jersey preferred, as our leadership is based in Summit). We have a desk in Asbury Park too, which is another option, as well as an office in Charleston, SC, but we feel the client base we want this role to cover is in the Tri-State area. Licensing Series 7 and Series 57 required (or ability to obtain promptly)Series 63 or Series 66 preferred Experienced Institutional Sales Traders While our primary hiring focus is an early-career institutional sales trader, we also welcome conversations with experienced institutional sales traders who have established institutional client relationships and are seeking an entrepreneurial platform supported by differentiated macro and technical research. Qualified candidates may work remotely from anywhere.
