Position Overview:
  • Leads development and implementation of manufacturing processes for new and existing products, balancing production requirements, quality, and cost targets
  • Designs fixturing and error-proofing solutions to reduce scrap and improve first-pass yield on high-scrap operations
  • Establishes standard work through time studies and validates performance against quoted cost estimates
  • Applies SPC and process capability analysis to drive stable, high-yield production
  • Leads process planning for new product introduction (NPI), including tooling strategy, routings, and bill of materials development
  • Analyzes shop floor performance data to identify gaps and implement corrective process improvements
  • Applies APQP and risk-based quality planning to prevent scrap and quality escapes from reaching the customer
  • Supports cost estimating and equipment justification for new and ongoing programs
  • Leads cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives and mentors junior engineers
  • Serves as the technical point of contact for customers and suppliers on process and specification matters
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required 10+ years of process or manufacturing engineering experience, with a background in aerospace/defense or another highly regulated industry
  • Working knowledge of aerospace quality standards and specifications (e.g., AS9100) preferred
  • Strong root cause analysis and structured problem-solving skills
  • Experience with statistical process analysis tools
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma training/experience preferred
