Up to $100K (ROD - Rate Open for Discussion)Relocation Assitance: Yes, open for discussion We are seeking a hands-on Production Engineer to help optimize and scale precision manufacturing operations. This is a newly created position focused on improving manufacturing efficiency, reducing scrap, increasing equipment utilization, and building standardized processes and KPI infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and optimize manufacturing processes involving CNC machining, including vertical mills, 5-axis mills, Swiss screw machines, and lathes. Support processes such as laser cutting/welding, small-parts assembly, finishing/polishing, and packaging. Lead SMED/changeover reduction initiatives to improve equipment availability and throughput. Establish and maintain manufacturing KPIs, including OEE, scrap, throughput, downtime, and yield. Analyze production data and identify opportunities to improve cycle time, quality, productivity, and cost. Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues. Partner closely with R&D and Quality to reduce scrap and improve first-pass quality.
Qualifications:
5+ years of progressive production exp Hands-on experience with precision machining/CNC or comparable high-volume manufacturing processes. Demonstrated process-improvement accomplishments, ideally including measurable reductions in scrap, cycle time, changeover time, or manufacturing costs. Strong Lean Manufacturing, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving capabilities. Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline preferred; ISO 9001 a plus Spanish/English plus.
