QHP is currently raising its third fund, QHP Capital Fund III (target $825M), and is actively looking to deploy funds already closed. Including co-investments, the firm oversees $4.5+B AUM. QHP is a hands-on investor, deploying a proprietary operational playbook and drawing on its strategic platform to source, diligence, and create value in growing life sciences and pharma services businesses. PRIVATE EQUITY ASSOCIATE, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENTThe Business Development Associate will support the Business Development function in all aspects of thematic research, sourcing, and brand awareness / relationship-building activities. The Associate will be a key player in helping to identify and research target companies for potential investment. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIESDeal Sourcing & Origination Execute thesis-driven outbound sourcing initiatives against priority sub-sectors, building and prioritizing target lists of founder /sponsor-owned businesses and drafting outreach Conduct first-pass company research and review: NDA processing, business model, end markets, recurring revenue characteristics, competitive positioning, and fit against investment criteria Support intermediary and banker coverage, including tracking relationships, logging touchpoints, and preparing for and following up on conferences and industry events Partner with senior deal professionals on thematic and whitespace research that translates into concrete target maps and outreach priorities Coordinate with team on conference strategy and attendance Pipeline & CRM Tool Management and Analysis Serve as the primary administrator of the Firm’s CRM system and other related sourcing tools, owning data integrity, workflow design, reporting, and adoption across the various internal teams Own the completeness and accuracy of the deal pipeline, ensuring every opportunity has stage, status, owner, and action steps reflected accurately Run weekly pipeline reviews, including current and historic opportunities Produce pipeline reporting and funnel analytics: conversion by stage, source channel ROI, and coverage against thematic priorities Track deals from initial contact through NDA, management meetings, and diligence hand-off to the execution team Evaluate, pilot, and operationalize AI-enabled tools for sourcing, company research, and outreach; Identify where automation adds genuine leverage versus noise Cross-Functional Support Contribute to preliminary investment analysis, market sizing, and initial diligence support Prepare materials for internal pipeline meetings, deal reviews, and, where relevant, LP-facing origination narratives. Work with marketing to maximize firm awarenessSTART DATEImmediateQUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s Degree from a top institution and strong academic record 2-3+ of professional experience. Prior experience in business development or banking, particularly in the healthcare or life sciences sectors a plus Strong analytical foundation and comfort with financial statements and basic business/valuation concepts High proficiency in Excel; fluency and experience with CRM systems, sourcing platforms, data tools, and emerging AI applications, a plus Self-directed and process-minded, with a bias towards taking initiative Excellent business and investment judgement Strong written and verbal communication; strong presentation skills Interested applicants should contact Abby Decker, VP, Business Development, at abby.decker@qhpcapital.com.
