About the role

The Director of Creative Worship is a Part-time position at Bluff Park United Methodist Church responsible for leading worship in The Gather, a modern worship service of BPUMC. Part-time: 8-10 hours per week

Responsibilities and Duties: Lead music for the weekly worship service Recruit, lead, and coach band members Conduct weekly band rehearsals Collaborate with Senior Pastor in the planning, design, and execution of a weekly worship service Select songs (in partnership with the Senior Pastor) Regular meetings for review and evaluation of previous service and planning for future services Input lyrics into Pro Presenter for Sunday morning worship Participation in combined services (Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and other combined services throughout the year)

Requirements: Willingness and ability to continuously learn ways to improve and lead Demonstrate a caring, compassionate approach to all persons Ability to play a musical instrument (guitar or piano) and sing Address:733 Valley Street Hoover AL 35226 The mission of the Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
