Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP Techno-functional Report Writing Lead Consultantto join the client SAP team along with 2 other ABAP developers. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in both SAP functional processes and technical development, with a primary focus onreport design, development, and optimizationacross SAP S/4HANA and ECC environments. This role requires deep hands‑on experience withABAP, CDS views, SAP Query, SmartForms, Adobe Forms, ALV reports, and OData services, along with a strong understanding of functional business processes across Finance, Supply Chain, Sales & Distribution, Procurement, and Manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead thedesign, development, and delivery of SAP reports(standard and custom) aligned with business requirements. Collaborate with functional teams toanalyze reporting needsand translate them into technical specifications. Develop reports usingABAP, CDS Views, ALV, SAP Query, SmartForms, and Adobe Forms .Createanalytical reports and dashboardsleveraging SAP Fiori, Embedded Analytics, and SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud).Build and optimizeOData servicesto support reporting in Fiori/UI5 applications. Ensure reports arecompliant with SAP best practicesfor performance, security, and scalability. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing reports, ensuring timely support for business operations. Participate inend‑to‑end SAP project life cycles : requirements gathering, functional/technical design, configuration, testing, and deployment. Provideknowledge transfer, documentation, and trainingto internal teams and end-users. Act as abridge between functional and technical teams, ensuring alignment and smooth delivery of reporting solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
10+ years of SAP experiencewith strong techno‑functional expertise in reporting. Proficiency inABAP programming(classical, OO, and modern techniques).Strong knowledge ofCore Data Services (CDS) views, AMDP, and HANA SQL scripting .Expertise inSAP SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and ALV Grid/Tree reports .Experience withSAP S/4HANA Embedded Analyticsand Fiori reporting apps. Hands‑on experience buildingcustom OData servicesand integrating with UI5/Fiori. Broadfunctional knowledgein at least two SAP modules (FI/CO, SD, MM, PP, QM, PM, or EWM).Strong skills inFIT‑GAP analysis, functional design documentation, and testing .Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills. Prior experience working inAgile and/or ASAP methodologyproject environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
SAP certification(s) in ABAP, S/4HANA, or reporting/analytics. Experience withSAP BW/4HANAor legacy SAP BW.Familiarity withintegration to external reporting tools(Power BI, Tableau).Prior consulting experience in global SAP rollouts and large‑scale implementations.
