About the role
- Load and unload furniture, boxes, and specialty items from trucks with care and precision
- Pad, wrap, disassemble, and reassemble furniture as needed to prevent damage
- Pack and unpack items efficiently and securely for residential or commercial moves
- Communicate with customers professionally, providing excellent customer service
- Navigate job sites, homes, elevators, and tight spaces while protecting property
- Follow company safety procedures and assist with inspections of equipment and vehicles
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of truck and moving materials
- Assist drivers and team leads with route planning and move logistics as needed
- Preferred Traits:
- Experience with disassembling/assembling furniture
- Knowledge of proper lifting and loading techniques
- Familiarity with local routes and areas
- 1+ year of experience in moving, general labor, or warehouse work (preferred but not required)
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs repeatedly and work long hours in physically demanding conditions
- Strong work ethic and a team-player mindset
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to follow directions and handle pressure professionally
- Reliable transportation to and from dispatch site
- Competitive hourly wage $17-$19/hour (average associate earns $30+ per hour to include tips)
