About the role
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Testing: Perform quality assurance sampling and testing for soils, aggregate, asphalt, and concrete. Use standard inspection equipment such as measuring tapes, measuring wheels, levels, probes, mobile devices, and other field-testing tools. Site Monitoring: Observe and document daily construction activities to verify work is being completed according to project plans and specifications. Measure distances, elevations, and dimensions to confirm construction work is installed correctly. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare daily inspection reports, field notes, and project documentation, including photographs and summaries of construction activities. Enter and organize project information using construction management software. Safety & Traffic Control: Conduct daily inspections of work zones, traffic control devices (MUTCD standards), and erosion control measures to help maintain compliance with project requirements and safety standards. Follow all company and project safety requirements, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Communication: Communicate and coordinate with contractors, utility representatives, project team members, and supervisors regarding construction activities and field observations. Participate in training opportunities to develop technical knowledge and inspection skills.
