Role Description: The Social Media Marketing Intern is a part-time, hybrid role based in Tampa, FL, supporting the brand’s online presence and customer engagement. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and scheduling social media posts, capturing photos and short videos of trucks, team members, and projects, and writing captions that reflect the company’s voice. The intern will monitor social channels for comments and messages, respond in a professional and timely manner, and escalate customer inquiries as needed. This role also involves assisting with basic digital marketing tasks such as updating profiles, tracking simple performance metrics, and brainstorming campaigns to highlight promotions and community involvement. The intern will collaborate with the local team to gather content ideas, ensure consistency with brand guidelines, and contribute creative suggestions to grow audience reach and engagement.
Qualifications: Strong social media marketing skills, including understanding of major platforms and audience engagement strategies. Social media content creation skills, such as writing concise captions, creating visual content, and adapting messages to different channels. Basic digital marketing and marketing knowledge, including brand awareness, campaign support, and simple analytics interpretation. Clear and professional communication skills for online interactions and in-person collaboration with team members and customers. Interest in learning marketing best practices and staying current with social media trends. Ability to work on-site in Tampa, FL, with reliable transportation to job locations when needed. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Comfort with using smartphones, basic photo/video tools, and common social media scheduling or management tools. Previous coursework, projects, or personal experience in marketing, communications, or related fields is beneficial.
