JOBPURPOSESUMMARY: The Behavior and Hallway Monitor ensures the safety and orderly conduct of students by monitoring hallways, common areas, and building entrances. This position provides behavioral support to students and assists with maintaining a positive and productive school environment, including the supervisionofin-schoolsuspension(ISS) asassigned. KEYFUNCTIONS, ESSENTIALDUTIES, ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:Student Supervision&Safety: Greetandbuildrelationshipswithstudents, faculty, parents, anddistrictpersonnel, providingassistance asneeded. Monitorhallwaysduringclasschangesandlunchperiodstomaintainasafeandorderlyenvironment. Monitorbuildingentrances, checkingforidentificationandensuringonlyauthorizedindividualsenterthe campus. Designandimplementtardystudentescortplans, assistingstudentstoclassortheadministrativeoffice asnecessary. Coordinateandleadtardysweepstosupportattendanceefforts. Assistteachersandstudentswithattendanceproceduresasneeded. Checkhallpassesduringinstructionaltimetoensurestudentsarewheretheyneedtobe. Monitorandsupervisein-schoolsuspension(ISS)asassigned, ensuringstudentscomplywithbehavior expectationswhilecompletingtheirwork. Assistinthesupervisionofstudentsduringassignedperiodsandprovidebehavioralguidancetoensure apositiveandstructuredschoolenvironment. Recognizestudentsincrisisandcommunicatewithadministrationtoensureappropriateinterventionsare implemented. Behavior ManagementSupport: Participateinbehaviorandattendancecheck-in/check-outprogramstomonitorandsupportstudent compliance. Assistwithreinforcingbehavioralexpectationssetbyteachersorcampusleadership. Provideescortand/orassistancetostudentsasnecessary, includingthosewithbehaviorconcerns. Compliance: Performsalldutiesandtasksinamannerconsistentwithallapplicablepolicies, procedures, and practiceswithinthe DepartmentandDistrict, aswellaswithalllocal, state, andfederalregulatory requirements. Maintainsrelevantandup-to-dateunderstanding, workingknowledge, andproficiencyofcurrentbest practices, aswellasstateandfederalmandatesforproperimplementationandapplicationofassigned duties.
