About the role

What you’ll lead Serve as operational leader when delegated by the Chief Pilot, ensuring safe, efficient, and discreet executive travel. Champion aviation safety and compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, the Aviation Operations Manual, SOPs, and applicable safety standards. Support Safety Management System (SMS) and risk management practices, including incident, accident, hazard, and occurrence reporting. Mentor pilots and flight crews; assist with approved crew-training programs and standardization. Monitor qualifications, certifications, training currency, and operational readiness; support pilot onboarding and professional development. Continuously improve procedures and SOPs to elevate safety, reliability, and passenger service. Coordinate seamlessly with Scheduling, Maintenance, and flight-operations stakeholders to optimize mission success. Maintain accurate operational and pilot records; assist with audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews. During non-flying time, dedicate ~10–20 hours/week to department priorities: operational planning, safety initiatives, training materials, readiness, documentation, mentoring, process improvements, audits, and cross-functional coordination.
What you’ll bring: Certificates: Current FAA ATP Certificate and current FAA First Class Medical. Flight time: At least 4,000 total hours including 2,500 hours as PIC.
Experience: 4–6 years of related aviation experience. Type ratings: At least one jet type rating; approved simulator training in the type-rated jet within the previous 12 months. Operational readiness: Ability to support domestic and international operations and be away from home for extended periods. Travel documents: Valid U.S. Passport and valid Driver’s License. Base proximity: Ability to reside within one hour of KROC.Screening: Successful background investigation and pre-employment drug screening. Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in the Aviation Operations Manual, training manuals, SOPs, company check pilot manual (as applicable), and civil aviation regulations and standards.
Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree in Aviation Management; or NBAA Certified Aviation Manager (CAM) certification. Gulfstream G280 and/or GVII type rating(s).International flight experience. Experience within IS-BAO and/or SMS environments. Previous flight instruction experience or a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate. Minimum flight credentials Required total hours: 4,000+Required PIC hours: 2,500+License required: FAA ATP (unrestricted or restricted as applicable) and FAA First Class Medical
Compensation & benefits
Salary range: $261,300 – $353,600 annually.
