About the role

Sara is a thoughtful and confident 15-year-old entering 11th grade. She is a "future veterinarian" who loves sushi, cooking with family, and staying active at the gym. While she can be a little reserved at first, she is incredibly observant and adaptable.
Note: Sara is allergic to cats, so she needs a cat-free home, but she would love to be in a home with dogs! We are looking for a host family to welcome Sara into their home as a member of the family. Whether you have kids, are empty nesters, or are a single-parent household, what matters most is your heart for cultural exchange.
Responsibilities: Provide a safe, supportive, and welcoming home environment. Provide three meals a day (student has their own spending money for eating out). Treat the student as a member of the family, not a guest. Help the student integrate into the local community and high school. Volunteer opportunity (no stipend is provided)
Qualifications: Must be at least 25 years old. Ability to pass a background check. Have a spare bedroom (students can share a room with a host sibling of the same gender and similar age). A heart for cultural exchange and supporting a young person's dreams!

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
