We are seeking an experiencedWi-Fi Subject Matter Expertwith 7+ years of hands-on experience in the Wi-Fi domain. The role focuses onEasyMesh development within the RDK-B framework, Wi-Fi standards, interoperability, certification, and operator deployments.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise across Wi-Fi protocols and standards, Linux networking, Wi-Fi drivers, RDK-B, EasyMesh, and WFA certification programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end EasyMesh development within the RDK-B framework, including architecture, implementation, interoperability, and operator deployment.
Represent the organization in the RDK-B EasyMesh working group and collaborate with industry stakeholders to commercialize RDK-B EasyMesh solutions.
Drive Wi-Fi Alliance EasyMesh certification programs, including test planning, execution, and resolution of certification failures.
Lead interoperability efforts with third-party EasyMesh controllers such as Airties.
Validate solutions against operator-specific deployment requirements.
Work directly with cable and broadband operators on feature requirements, field issues, and roadmap alignment.
Define and enforce engineering best practices and code quality standards.
Establish and maintain CI/CD processes across the engineering team.
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of professional experience specifically in the Wi-Fi domain.
Deep expertise in IEEE 802.11 standards, including:802.11a/b/g/n
802.11ac
802.11ax / Wi-Fi 6 / Wi-Fi 6E
802.11be / Wi-Fi 7
Wi-Fi Alliance EasyMesh specificationsHands-on experience with Wi-Fi user-space tools and modules:wpa_supplicant
hostapd
iw
nl80211Strong Linux kernel knowledge, including Wi-Fi driver development and cfg80211/nl80211 architecture.
Strong proficiency in C and C++.
Working knowledge of Python and Java.
RDK-B experience is preferred.
Working knowledge of: TCP/IP
DHCP
802.1X/EAP authentication
Wireshark
tcpdumpExperience with Wi-Fi Alliance certification tooling, including sigma-dut, QuickTrack, testbed configuration, and Wireshark.
Experience with Git, Perforce, and/or SVN.
Familiarity with Jira and Buganizer.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active participation or membership in IEEE 802.11 working groups or Wi-Fi Alliance task groups.
Experience with EasyMesh Multi-AP Specification / IEEE 1905.1.
Hands-on experience developing Multi-AP Controller and Agent solutions.
Experience delivering Wi-Fi solutions across STA or AP product lines.
Demonstrated participation in Wi-Fi Alliance certification programs, particularly Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 7, or EasyMesh.
