About the Mechanical Engineer Internship: Gain hands-on experience reading engineering prints while partnering with operators to analyze manufacturing processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Schedule:
Part-time (15-20 hours/week) during the academic year and full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer.
Location: Cleveland, OH
Start Date: January 2027
Duration: Year-round internship
What we're looking for:
Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field. Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher. Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and Power Point Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. Ability to succeed in a team environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Preferred experience:
Advanced Excel and analyst skills. AutoCAD experience. Exposure to Lean manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Tools. What you'll focus on: Organize and maintain electrical and mechanical drawings within our document management system. Verify engineering prints accurately reflect current parts and manufacturing processes. Assist with the design and development of new parts and components. Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.
