Title: Heavy Equipment OperatorFLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Foreman
Position Summary: The Operator I is responsible for operating heavy machinery at a construction site. Essential Functions: Statement: Safe and proficient operating of a single machine, either: Bulldozer Trackhoe Follow instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans. Competency Statements: Present yourself in a professional manner that is in line with the company culture. Follows safety and other regulations when handling and operating equipment. Uses equipment for its intended purpose only, protecting it from damage and misuse. Always performs work in a safe manner. Avoids shortcuts that increase health and safety risks to self or others. Maintains emergency supplies and/or personal protective gear. Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate effectively with team members. Supervisory Responsibility This role has no supervisory responsibilities. Potential Occupational Safety/Health Hazards: Dirt Heat Fumes Smoke Water Noise Vibration Grease, Oil Dust, Shavings
Work Environment: This job operates in a construction setting outdoors, in remote locations, and routinely uses physical abilities to perform tasks throughout the construction site. Travel required.
