About the role

About the project We're hiring 30 experienced Fiber Splicers for a large fiber infrastructure project in Memphis, Tennessee, supporting a major data center build. The scope is about 600,000 splices and the work is expected to last at least 3 months, with a good chance of extension. Data center experience is not required. If you can splice and test to a high standard in the field, we want to hear from you. Pay Production-based pay for splicing, testing, re-splicing and re-testing Rates are all-inclusive, and the high production volume means top splicers earn very strong weekly pay Accommodation is not provided, but the volume of work more than covers it Rate details are shared with shortlisted candidates (an NDA applies)Schedule 7 days a week, 10–12 hour shifts Plenty of available work: this suits splicers who want to maximise their earnings
What you'll be doing: Fusion splicing, both single fiber and ribbon/mass fusion Testing and troubleshooting with an OTDR, power meter and light source Re-splicing and re-testing to meet quality standards Working from bucket trucks and ladders, and in underground cabinets, vaults and handholes Front and rear easement work Keeping accurate production records and test results
