About the role
Operator 2 Warehouse Operations Allegiance Staffing is seeking an experienced and dependable Warehouse Operator for a distribution operation in Covington, GA. This is a forklift and material-handling position responsible for safely moving materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products throughout the warehouse. The ideal candidate has previous warehouse and forklift experience, follows safety procedures, works well in a fast-paced environment, and can maintain dependable attendance throughout the assignment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment
- Move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products throughout the warehouse
- Use equipment such as forklifts, conveyors, handcarts, and power trucks
- Load, unload, stage, and transport materials as assigned
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Maintain accurate warehouse and material-handling records as required
- Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures
- Complete routine warehouse tasks accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work within established productivity and quality standards
- Communicate effectively with coworkers, Team Leads, and Supervisors
- Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of warehouse or related experience
- Previous forklift experience required
- High school diploma or GED is not required
- Must be able to complete required forklift training or certification
- Must be able to pass a required 10-panel drug screening
- Ability to read, write, and understand work instructions in English
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- General computer skills
- Ability to work in a metrics-driven environment
- Strong communication skills
- Must be dependable, safety-focused, and able to follow instructions
- Must be available to work the complete Monday
- Thursday overnight schedule
Physical Requirements:
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Stooping, kneeling, balancing, climbing, crouching, and reaching
- Pushing, pulling, grasping, twisting, and repetitive hand movements
- Lifting and/or moving 50+ pounds
- Operating equipment around moving mechanical parts
- Working in moderate to loud noise levels
- Working in a warehouse that may be hot during the summer and cold during the winter

Candidates must have previous warehouse/material-handling experience and be comfortable safely operating powered equipment.
