About the role
- Graduate of an accredited Electro neurodiagnostic (END) training program or 5 years of recent experience in Neurophysiologic Monitoring or Intraoperative Monitoring.
- Students may be considered if actively enrolled in an accredited END training program, are in good academic standing, have completed 2 clinical rotations, and successfully complete the program within 12 months of hire.
- Certified by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologist (ABRET) in EEG or obtains within two years of hire/job date.
- Possesses one or more of the following or obtains within three years of the hire/job date:
- Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) by ABRET, (or)
- Certification with nerve conduction velocity (NCV) by ABRET and/or American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM)
- Certification in Long Term EEG Monitoring (CLTM) by ABRETPossesses current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or obtains within 90 days of hire.
- Maintains ongoing continuing education as required to maintain registries.
- Participates in departmental in-service educational opportunities.
