Location: Mineola, NY & Eastern Long Island locations
Duration: 12+ Month Contract
Pay: $45 - $50/hr W2
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Description
Overview: We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented IT Infrastructure Project Coordinator to support infrastructure initiatives within a large healthcare system. This role will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clinical/operational stakeholders to ensure timely execution of infrastructure projects including network upgrades, hardware deployments, system migrations, and data center initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate day-to-day activities for IT infrastructure projects, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and dependencies are tracked and met Support project managers in planning, scheduling, and executing infrastructure-related initiatives Act as a liaison between technical teams (network, server, cloud) and hospital stakeholders Track project milestones, risks, issues, and action items; provide regular status updates Assist with resource coordination, including vendors, internal teams, and third-party partners Maintain project documentation, including project plans, meeting notes, and reports Ensure compliance with healthcare IT standards, security protocols, and organizational policies Coordinate change management activities, including maintenance windows and communication plans Support procurement and inventory tracking for infrastructure hardware and software
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)2–5 years of experience supporting IT projects, preferably in infrastructure environments Familiarity with IT infrastructure components (networks, servers, storage, cloud platforms)Experience with project coordination tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar)Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a hospital or healthcare system Knowledge of healthcare IT environments (e.g., EMR systems, HIPAA compliance)Exposure to vendors such as Cisco, VMware, Azure, or AWSPMP, CAPM, or similar project management certification (or in progress)
