Structure Medical is a specialized manufacturer of medical implants, instruments, and cutting tools used by orthopedic surgeons to treat trauma, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, tumors, and congenital conditions.
Role Description:
Structure Medical is seeking a Production Scheduler for a 3–6 month contract position with the possibility of direct hire. This is a full-time, on-site role based at our Mooresville, NC facility. The Production Scheduler is responsible for planning, coordinating, and maintaining daily and long-term production schedules to support customer demand and meet quality and delivery requirements. This role works closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Purchasing to align capacity, materials, and labor with production priorities.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules based on customer demand, capacity, material availability, and changing priorities. Monitor inventory, work-in-progress, lead times, and production status to proactively identify potential delays or constraints. Resolve scheduling conflicts and adjust production plans as priorities and requirements change. Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and opportunities to improve workflow and efficiency. Communicate schedule changes, priorities, and production status to cross-functional stakeholders. Maintain accurate scheduling and production information within applicable systems. Support continuous improvement initiatives and the successful launch of new products and prototypes.
Qualifications:
Experience with production scheduling, production planning, or manufacturing operations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret production data and identify potential constraints. Effective communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a cross-functional manufacturing environment. Experience in medical device manufacturing, precision machining, or another high-precision manufacturing environment is preferred. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel is preferred. Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills with the ability to adapt to changing production needs. Associate or bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience, is preferred. Commitment to quality, safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
