Sample Coordinator Position Type: Full-Time / Onsite
Pay Range: 50-65KESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESIn this role, you will be joining a team of Sample Assistants, Designers, Production Coordinators, and Managers. Strong organizational and communication skills are necessary. Our Ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, will be an excellent multitasker, comfortable working with different teams and will have strong communication skills. Communicating with Project Managers on all samples' status’Coordinating sample approvals from Buyers Responsible for reporting missing samples and any sample/art changes Responsible for requesting and following up with sample approvals and changes Communicating with Factories with relation to quality and art-related discrepancies Responsible for sourcing on new projects (price, MOQ, ETD) Communicating details including dimensions, materials, and colors to overseas vendors Work with designers to determine size or application errors from artwork to sample Constant follow-up on art changes from the buyer’s or factory’s request Get all samples photographed (with photographer), each marked with style number, customer, and factory. Review samples, make comments depending on quality or art discrepancies Understand changes and which samples need to be saved or discarded periodically Monitor samples on hand and replenish as needed Ability to follow the project over months to completion Setting up/ visual merchandise the showroom with current products Pull & Return samples for meetings Perform related duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES: Proficient in Microsoft SuiteStrong written and oral communication – correspondence with overseas factories and office communication Flexibility and ability to prioritize rapidly changing projectsexcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff Project coordination experience, working with multiple levels of input from clients and suppliers Ability to follow up over extended periods, including international time zone delays Excellent attention to detail including pictures, CADS, samples, and style numbers Strong computer and Internet research skills, including use of ExcelStrong attention to detail Strong organizational skills as you will have an abundance of samples at all times. Ability to track projects and keep detailed notes on all data. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE2-4 years of production experience or industry- related experience
