COMPANYA fast-growing event-driven hedge fund managing $4B in AUM, investing across liquid credit, bank debt, and equities from Midtown Manhattan. RESPONSIBILITIESFund Accounting & NAV Oversight: Own monthly and quarterly close, review NAV calculations and investor allocations alongside the fund administrator, and manage journal entries and audit supportBank Debt & Credit Accounting: Calculate and reconcile loan interest accruals, SOFR and base rate resets, PIK balances, and delayed compensationDaily Reconciliations: Perform core reconciliations across Enfusion, prime brokers, and HedgeServ for positions, cash, and collateral using advanced ExcelAdministrator & Vendor Oversight: Liaise directly with HedgeServ and prime brokers to ensure prompt break resolution and corporate action executionTrade Capture Support: Assist with operational processing for bank debt, liquid credit, and equity trades, including trade bookings, settlements, and agent bank noticesFront-Office P&L Support: Partner with PMs and traders in Enfusion as needed to help verify intraday P&L, pricing feeds, and trade breaksTreasury & Cash Management: Support daily cash forecasting, margin and collateral movements, FX exposures, and wire preparationREQUIREMENTS3 to 6 years of fund accounting experience at a hedge fund, fund administrator, or alternative asset manager; some middle-office or trade support exposure is a plus but not requiredAccounting-first background: strong in NAV, close, journal entries, and investor reporting, with the flexibility to support trade-level reconciliation and ops work as neededSolid product knowledge across bank debt, credit, and equitiesExperience with a fund administrator (HedgeServ or similar) required; familiarity with Enfusion or a similar OMS/PMS is a plusBloomberg Terminal experience a plusAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills (large-scale reconciliations, lookups, formula audits) Comfortable communicating directly with fund administrators, auditors, and street counterpartiesPosition is on-site in the Midtown NYC office dailyBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
