About the role

Plan and guide engineering teams to achieve quality, productivity, and operational-efficiency goals. Mentor and potentially lead engineering team members in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainable manufacturing processes and systems. Troubleshoot, repair, improve, and provide hands-on technical support for automated equipment. Perform and document engineering studies and evaluations. Analyze data to drive improvements, prioritize initiatives, and identify opportunities. Lead and mentor root-cause and corrective-action activities. Assess, deliver, and schedule technical training covering electromechanical systems, pneumatics, servos, PLCs, schematic interpretation, and new technologies. Champion high-visibility projects and develop project scopes, timelines, savings estimates, and cost estimates. Quote new automation lines and engineering services and develop automation design concepts. Prepare validation documents, user requirements, equipment specifications, and other engineering documentation. Build relationships with customers and automation suppliers. Provide engineering support to optimize plant machinery, equipment, and processes. Promote and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives. Research new technologies and methodologies for plant applications. Support quality, safety, regulatory, and company requirements.*Most Important Skills Needed: Strong automation engineering background. Automated equipment troubleshooting, repair, and improvement. Manufacturing processes, workflows, production equipment, and industrial techniques. Electromechanical systems, pneumatics, servos, PLCs, and schematic interpretation. Engineering studies, data analysis, root-cause analysis, and corrective action. Project scoping, scheduling, budgeting, savings estimation, and execution. Automation-line quoting and design-concept development. Validation, user requirements, and equipment-specification documentation. Cross-functional leadership, mentoring, training, and supplier relationship management. Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement. Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills. CAD and SAP experience preferred. Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred. Manufacturing supervisory or managerial experience.
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Science field required. Master’s degree in Engineering or a Science field preferred. Minimum five to eight years of experience required. At least two years of managerial or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required.
