About the role
- Apply advanced structural engineering principles and make independent, decisive design choices.
- Lead or act as the licensed lead project engineer (including stamping/sealing where applicable).Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct projects while ensuring budget and schedule adherence.
- Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of engineers and designers on assigned projects.
- Define project scopes, organize tasks, and provide scope-change warnings to supervisors and PMs.
- Represent the firm in client and stakeholder meetings; present progress and ensure client satisfaction.
- Provide technical specialization and advisory support in structural discipline matters.
- Support risk management related to seismic performance, load path continuity, and material durability.
- Drive business growth through client engagement and proactive business development initiatives.
- Travel as required; a valid driver’s license is required (may be waived for international assignments).Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering qualifying for licensure in the state of practice.
- PE required or SE licensed with eight (8) or more years of related practical experience.
- Experience on Industrial and Manufacturing building projects is mandatory; Data Center and/or Pharmaceutical experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of BIM collaboration and review platforms including ACC/BIM360, Bluebeam, and Navisworks.
- Thorough understanding of US building codes and standards applicable to seismic and structural design: ASCE, ACI, AISC 341, IBC, and applicable state-specific amendments.
- Prefer demonstrated ability to apply seismic detailing and design requirements for concrete, steel, and foundation systems in seismic design categories D-F.Strong client‑facing communication skills and experience leading technical discussions with architects, contractors, and owners.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi‑discipline coordination, review processes, and change control in complex projects.
- The firm leverages advanced BIM and AI tools, provides access to industry‑leading AI Large Language Models and vibe‑coding platforms, and integrates these tools into workflows. Training and support for AI‑enabled productivity and process improvements are provided from day one.
