About the role
Seeking experienced Private Equity Associate to join a growing Primaries investment business that also invests in secondaries and co-invest opportunities. The ideal candidate will have served in an investment management deal team capacity focused on primaries, secondaries, or co-investments.
Responsibilities:
Associates are key members of the investment team working directly with senior investment professionals and external stakeholders.
Lead key analysis workstreams of prospective fund commitments, co-investments, and secondary investments, including financial modelling, industry research, operational analysis, fund manager analysis and track record evaluation.
Build and maintain financial models for fund performance analysis, conduct financial diligence on private equity fund managers, their investment strategy(s), portfolio construction, fee and carry structures, etc.
Support co-investment sourcing and execution.
Prepare investment committee memoranda and other ad-hoc reports.
Prepare periodic investor updates and conduct analyses and support work for fundraising and investor relations as needed.
Other:2-5 years of investment experience in private equity, fund of funds, co-investments, or secondaries with prior investment banking or management consulting experience.
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous workstreams in a high intensity, fast paced environment.
Applying critical thinking and judgement in the review of investment opportunities.
Working with senior and junior team members across various teams to collaborate on initiatives.
