About the role

Join our Grading and Utility teams as a Heavy Equipment Operator, where your skills will drive the success of large-scale projects! We are looking for experienced equipment operators for the following roles: $3,000 sign on bonus if you have at least 2 years of experience! Responsibilities: Responsible for daily equipment greasing, morning “walk arounds” and fluid checks. Complete daily maintenance checklist to ensure your equipment is properly maintained, and to ensure the proper preservation of equipment maintenance records. Adjust hand wheels and depress pedals to control attachments such as blades, buckets, scrapers, and swing brooms. Start engines, move throttles, switches and levers, and depresses pedals to operate machines such as bulldozers, excavators, graders and backhoes. Align machines, cutter heads, or depth gauge makers with reference stakes and guidelines or ground, or position equipment following hand signals of other workers. Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members. Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, and materials, using trucks, tractors, power cranes, shovels, graders, and related equipment. Drive and maneuver equipment equipped with blades in successive passes over working areas to remove topsoil, vegetation, and rocks, and to distribute and level earth or terrain.
