About the role
- Prepare structural engineering design calculations
- Develop and modify structural construction drawings
- Complete drafting and design work using AutoCAD and RevitWork closely with project managers and Professional Engineers
- Guide and support drafters and interns and review work for accuracy
- Prepare construction drawings for review and sealing by a Professional Engineer
- Develop practical solutions to structural design and construction challenges
- Review third-party reports, drawings, and project shop drawings
- Communicate with clients, contractors, consulting engineers, and other project stakeholders
- Assist with value engineering strategies
- Participate in project site visits and inspections
- Efficiently manage multiple projects with varying deadlines and levels of complexity
- Continue developing your technical knowledge in preparation for PE licensure and future advancement
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification 2+ years of post-graduate structural engineering experience
- Experience working in a structural engineering environment
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and RISAStrong understanding of engineering principles and drafting practices
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders
- Experience working in the Southwest or Rocky Mountain region is preferred.
