Snow Crew - Equipment OperatorClassification: Student EmploymentReports To: Maintenance Grounds Technician IJob Description: To maintain the functionality of university facilities through the removal of snow and ice on an on-call basis. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Usage of machinery to remove snow from campus walkwaysAttending to on-call shifts outside of business hours during snow eventsMaintain communication with the Maintenance Supervisor via email, text, or phone callMonitor weather conditions and prepare accordinglyRoutine care/maintenance of machinery usedRequired Qualifications/Skills: Currently enrolled student at NCUKnowledge of basic equipment operation & careAbility to communicate well on various platforms to insure shared understanding of information & responsibilitiesAbility to lift up to 50 poundsUse of hand toolsExperience in equipment operation & snow removal preferredAdditional Comments: Work environment includes exposure to dust or chemicals and extremes in temperatureSnow Removal Equipment Operators are hired for the winter season and the position is a contractual agreementYear-end bonus is included if all job requirements are met during the snow removal season (i.e., arriving on time for each snow event, clearing the snow properly, etc.)Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required during operation of machineryHours/Week: Hours depend on number of snow events during a given time Operating Hours: 4:30 PM8:00 AM in various shifts Number of Positions Available: 6 For more information, contact: Tanner Robinson tjrobins@northcentral.edu
