About the role

Job Description: The Customer Order Entry position is responsible for accurately entering customer material and parts orders into the company’s ERP system, ensuring timely processing, communication, and fulfillment of all aftermarket parts requests. This role works closely with the Accounting, Parts, Sales, and Shipping departments to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and operational accuracy.
Key Responsibilities: Accurately enter customer purchase orders, quotes, and order changes into the ERP system. Verify order details including part numbers, pricing, and shipping information prior to processing. Place Purchase Orders with Suppliers. Communicate with customers via phone and email regarding order confirmations, lead times, and tracking information. Coordinate with the warehouse/shipping team to ensure timely order fulfillment. Maintain customer records and documentation in accordance with company standards. Assist in resolving order discrepancies, backorders, or pricing issues promptly. Support the Parts Sales team with administrative tasks such as quote entry or inventory inquiries. Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner. Participate in continuous improvement efforts for order entry and customer service processes.
Requirements
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.3 - 5 years of experience in order entry, customer service, or administrative support (manufacturing or distribution environment preferred).Strong attention to detail and data accuracy. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).Experience using ERP systems (such as SAP, Epicor, or Oracle) is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment: This position operates in an office setting with regular interaction with other departments and external customers. Standard business hours apply, with occasional overtime based on workload. Local Candidates Only as this is not a Remote Position.
