About the role
Gymnastics and Body Conditioning Instructor for Young Dancers (Part-Time – 20+ Hours/Week)Ballet Institute of San Diego is seeking a passionate and motivated Gymnastics Instructor to join our growing faculty. This position is ideal for an instructor who enjoys working with young dancers and is committed to helping students build strong physical foundations in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Responsibilities:
Teach group and private classes for young students. Lead body conditioning, stretching, strength, flexibility, and coordination training. Prepare students physically for ballet and dance training. Provide individual coaching to help students improve technique and achieve personal goals. Prepare selected students for dance competitions through one-on-one coaching. Collaborate with the Artistic Director and teaching staff to support student development.
Qualifications:
Experience teaching young children in dance, gymnastics, acrobatics, rhythmic gymnastics, or a related movement discipline. Strong knowledge of body conditioning, flexibility, mobility, strength development, and injury prevention. Ability to motivate and inspire young dancers. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Experience preparing students for competitions is highly desirable. Dance experience is preferred; a gymnastics or acrobatics background is also welcome. Position Details Part-time: Approximately 20 hours per week
