POSITION SUMMARY:
As Sales Manager, you will oversee all aspects of sales for our roofing and remodeling divisions. You will lead, train, and hold accountable two distinct sales teams: the Roofing Team, focused on outbound, hunting-style sales for generating new business and closing residential roofing contracts; and the Design-Build Remodeling Team, focused on consultative, long-cycle sales for design agreements, project proposals, and high-ticket remodels. You will be responsible for driving revenue, maintaining team accountability, and ensuring both divisions operate efficiently and profitably.
COMPETENCIES:
Lead, train, mentor, and hold accountable two distinct sales teams: the Roofing team (outbound, hunting-style sales) and the Design-Build Remodeling team (consultative, long-cycle sales).
Establish and execute comprehensive sales strategies to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals for both divisions.
Drive revenue growth and maintain profitability while ensuring operational efficiency across roofing contracts, design agreements, and high-ticket remodeling proposals.
Oversee sales pipeline tracking, lead conversion metrics, and CRM utilization to ensure consistent follow-up and deal progression.
Collaborate closely with Marketing and Production Managers to align lead generation, sales forecasting, project handoffs, and pricing structures.
Conduct weekly sales meetings, technical/software training, and open lead reviews to foster continuous team development and accountability.
Lead recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing performance management for expanding sales talent across both departments.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Team Management Lead, mentor, and coach sales teams across both divisions
Recruit, onboard, and retain top sales talent
Conduct ride-alongs, field coaching, and performance reviews
Set clear KPIs and hold reps accountable
Sales Strategy & Process Develop division-specific sales processes and scripts
Monitor pipelines and forecast revenue for both divisions
Implement tools and systems to improve efficiency and tracking
Collaborate with marketing to optimize lead flow
Performance & Reporting Track division-specific KPIs:
Roofing: leads generated, appointments set, close rate, revenue per rep
Report performance metrics to GM and make data-driven recommendations
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of sales management experience in roofing, remodeling, or construction industries required
Proven success leading both outbound hunting sales teams and long-cycle consultative design-build sales teams
Demonstrated expertise in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and closing high-ticket agreements
Proficiency with CRM systems, estimating tools, and Microsoft Office
High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
