About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Security Engineerwith expertise inWeb Application & API Protection (WAAP)and enterprise network security. This role will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of application security solutions across hybrid and cloud environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implementWAAPsolutions, including
- Web Application Firewall (WAF), API Security, Bot Management, and DDoS Protection .Deploy and manage WAAP platforms such asImperva , Akamai, or cloud-native WAF solutions (AWS/Azure).Develop and maintain WAF policies, custom security rules, and API protection controls.
- Protect applications againstOWASP Top 10web and API threats.
- Integrate WAAP solutions with SIEM, IAM, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to secure internet-facing applications.
- Support incident response, security monitoring, compliance initiatives, and continuous security improvements.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of enterprise network security engineering experience.
- Strong hands‑on experience withWAAP platforms, including
- Imperva, Akamai, AWS WAF, Azure WAF, or equivalent.
- Expertise inWeb Application Firewall (WAF), API Security, Bot Management, and DDoS mitigation .Strong understanding ofOWASP Top 10, application security, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS/SSL, and API protection.
- Experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, enterprise firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper), VPN, and hybrid cloud security.
- Experience securing AWS, Azure, and/or GCP environments.
- Strong networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, OSPF, NAT, QoS, and traffic analysis.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Relevant certifications such asCCNP/CCIE, CISSP, CISM, or Akamai/AWS/Azure Securityare preferred.
