About the role
Prototype Vehicle Systems Engineer Responsible for assembling, modifying, and troubleshooting prototype vehicle systems and components. Applies working knowledge of vehicle assemblies, mechanical systems, and build processes to support prototype development activities with limited supervision.
Responsibilities:
Assemble and modify prototype vehicle components and systems.
Read and follow engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
Troubleshoot assembly and fitment issues.
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
Support testing, rework, and continuous improvement activities.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Requirements:
2+ years of mechanical, automotive, manufacturing, or assembly experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of vehicle assemblies and mechanical systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This positions it as a step above entry level, with an expectation of prior hands-on automotive or assembly experience and familiarity with vehicle systems.
Education:
