Work Schedule:
Monday through Thursday - 5:00 am to 3:30 pm. We work 4 -10 hour days with optional OT. Enjoy 3 day weekends! Opportunity for pay increases through cross training.____________________________________________________________________________
Role Overview:
As a Battery Sorter, you will properly identify, and sort batteries based on the chemistry/type. You will tape the terminals of the batteries and pack batteries using bags and boxes.____________________________________________________________________________
Key Responsibilities:
Ensures health and safety is the number one goal by following warehouse safety procedures and processes Identify and sort batteries by chemistry Taping terminals/ends of batteries Sort out debris and non-conforming material Store batteries and non-conforming material in drums Label drums according to regulations and guidelines Weigh and document material General cleaning Comply with all environmental, health and safety regulations Sit or stand for most of the shift Some locations may require operating a forklift to transfer material All other duties as assigned____________________________________________________________________________
Qualifications
Required:
Frequently lift 10-40 pounds individually, and over 40 pounds with a team member Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Attention to detail Basic math skills Teamwork and communication skills High School Diploma or GEDTRAVEL: none____________________________________________________________________________
