About the role

Overview: We are seeking licensed paramedics to provide on-site coverage for Health and Wellness events on, or near, Texas military installations. This is a contract opportunity for self-directed professionals who want flexible, project-based work supporting our troops and their families.
Compensation: $30/hrScope of Services
Provide paramedic services to event attendees. Complete accurate documentation in line with Texas DSHS requirements. Conduct pre-event checks of medical equipment and supplies. Work alongside healthcare providers maintain a safe environment Engagement TermsAd Hoc Events (Sometimes with little notice); Contractor selects which events to accept; Independent contractor (1099); Contractor is responsible for their own taxes and maintaining active certifications; and Contractor will provide their own transportation to and from the event
Qualifications:
  • Current National Registry Paramedic (NRP) certification
  • Current Texas DSHS Paramedic certification or Licensed Paramedic
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALSMinimum 3 years of field experience as a paramedic
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportationPHTLS or ITLS (preferred)
  • This position is NOT benefits eligible.
