About the role
$10,000 Sign-On Bonus Applied Immunogenetics Laboratory (API) is seeking an Immunogenetics Technologist to join our growing, independent Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics Laboratory. API supports multi-organ transplantation, including kidney, pancreas, heart, and lung programs.
Responsibilities:
Perform high-complexity HLA testing and data analysis, including antibody screening and monitoring, molecular typing (NGS, SSO, RT-PCR), and flow cytometry crossmatching. Analyze and interpret laboratory results using critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. Participate in Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) activities. Participate in an on-call rotation (STAT and deceased-donor testing).
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution. No previous HLA experience required. Experienced laboratory professionals will provide comprehensive hands-on training. CHT certification through ABHI required within the first two years of employment.
