Position Overview: The Permitting Specialist will serve as the dedicated technical and administrative lead forsecuring right-of-way (ROW) and utility permits across our East Valley fiber deploymentoperations. This role focuses entirely on the preparation, submittal, and tracking of new designpackages through municipal pipelines. The ideal candidate possesses deep structuralorganization, precise attention to municipal compliance details, and the communication skillsrequired to maintain positive, highly professional daily touchpoints with city engineering andplanning staff.
Key Responsibilities: Operational Leadership and Execution Take direct ownership of the compilation, formatting, and submittal of all new fiber design packages according to the unique criteria of Mesa, Chandler, and Gilbert. Maintain strict adherence to established Permitting and Engineering Hand-Off SOPs to ensure all code requirements are verified prior to city submission. Actively track and push packages through municipal review windows to keep local deployment timelines on schedule.
Key Responsibilities: Communication and Reporting Provide continuous, real-time status updates for every permit within the Zoho One tracking database. Serve as the daily, accountable point of contact for municipal permit technicians, plan reviewers, and engineering staff. Deliver clear, prompt technical feedback to executive leadership and engineering teams regarding municipal comments or plan revisions.
Key Responsibilities: Discipline and Quality Control Establish and maintain a meticulous, transparent document control system for all traffic control plans, encroachments, and ROW permits. Perform rigorous administrative and technical quality checks on incoming construction drawings. Systematically map and document changing local jurisdictional codes, utility requirements, and municipal fee structures. Qualifications and
Key Competencies: 5+ years of hands-on experience managing right-of-way (ROW), utility, or telecommunications permitting pipelines within Maricopa County or the East Valley municipalities. Direct, practical proficiency utilizing Zoho One workflows or equivalent municipal/enterprise tracking databases. Attention to detail with a proven ability to coordinate multiple complex permit packages simultaneously. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Methodical, process-driven professional who takes absolute ownership of compliance and deadlines.
