The primary functions of this role are: Install, upgrade, and manage CICS/MQ environments using SMP/EProvide Tier-3 support for the IBM Z Mainframe z/OS environmentInstall and maintain third party software products related to CICS/MQResponsibilitiesPlanning hardware and system software upgrades and changes in configurationTesting and evaluating IT vendor products. Reviewing IT vendor literature to identify product deficiencies, workarounds, and scheduled patches/updates.Identifying opportunities to improve system and application performance, including automating manual system tasksMonitoring and resolving automated system alerts/alarms that indicate system functions were not completed within established service levelsConducting root cause analysis to identify and resolve complex problems impacting IT infrastructureTraining system operators and application programmersAssuring compliance to required standards, procedures, guidelines, and processesWriting documentation, including policies and procedures. Adding, updating, and closing records in the Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management databases (ServiceNow).QualificationsWe are looking for someone with strong marketing and communications background to create a campaign for the Meeting Experience program for general audiences and targeted communications for stakeholder and executive audiencesExperience with planning and creating a training program for end users is a plus.Qualificationsz/OS concepts and utilities including TSO/ISPF, JES2, JCL, etc.z/OS software installation using SMP/ECICS concepts and utilities including RDO/DFHCSDUP, DFHSIT, PLT, etc. SYSPLEX concepts including Coupling Facility (CF) structures, CICSplex topology (TOR/AOR/FOR), CICS Dynamic Routing, etc.z/OS performance monitoring, reporting, and tuning.
