About the role

We are seeking a skilled Optician to join our Health Care team, where you will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive precise vision correction and exceptional eye care services. In this position, you will be responsible for interpreting prescriptions, fitting eyewear, and providing expert guidance on lens options and frame selection to meet individual visual needs. Your expertise will directly contribute to patient satisfaction and the overall success of our clinical operations, ensuring that every customer leaves with high-quality vision solutions tailored to their lifestyle and health requirements.
Responsibilities: Analyze and verify eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions to ensure accuracy before fabrication. Assist customers in selecting appropriate frames and lenses based on their prescription, facial structure, and personal style preferences. Operate advanced optical equipment to measure pupillary distance, segment height, and other critical parameters for lens manufacturing. Perform adjustments and repairs on eyewear to ensure a comfortable and secure fit for the wearer. Educate patients on proper lens care, maintenance, and the benefits of various optical technologies. Collaborate with optometrists and ophthalmologists to support comprehensive eye examination processes. Maintain accurate inventory levels of frames, lenses, and optical supplies while managing order fulfillment. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory standards specific to the Health Care industry.
Requirements: Proven experience as an Optician or in a related optical role within the Health Care sector. Valid certification or licensure as an Optician, as required by state or regional regulations. Strong understanding of optical principles, lens materials, coatings, and frame construction. Proficiency with optical dispensing software and diagnostic equipment. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to patients. Attention to detail and a commitment to precision in measurements and fittings. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
