About The Role: Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), a leading defense technology company, is seeking anIndustrial Security Operations Internto be part of our Security and Facilities team and based out of our Arlington, VA, Fall River, MA, San Diego, CA or Mt. Laurel, NJ location. Industrial Security Operations Interns work alongside our Facility Security Officer team to assist candidate will assist in protecting our DOD facilities, personnel and systems in accordance with Government requirements issued in 32 CFR 117 directives. Clearance & Location Requirements All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. This is a fully on-site position based out of our Arlington, VA, Fall River, MA, San Diego, CA or Mount. Laurel, NJ location.
What You Will Do:
  • Assists day-to-day office operations and administrative tasks to ensure the classified labs and office run smoothly
  • Assists with scheduling meetings, coordinating calendars, and preparing meeting materials for both classified and unclassified operations
  • Manages incoming visitor procedures related to company meetings and software demonstrations
  • Involved with office supply inventory, ordering, and organization.
  • Provides unclassified and classified operations security support
  • Manages receipt and dispatch for incoming and outgoing mail packages
  • Maintain, track and audit inventory materials associated with contracts, and information systems
  • Supports onboarding logistics for new employees
  • Assists with employee and visitor badging, ensuring proper access and adherence to office security procedures
  • Coordinates and escorts vendors onsite, ensuring appropriate access and directed to the correct areas
  • Prepare and manage security training and briefings for all employees
  • Coordinate new employee clearance process
  • Support the FSO with various compliance assessments
  • Revise and validate process and procedures
  • Learn and operate the inventory management system
Who You Are: (Required) Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program with a major in Business Management, Engineering, Criminal Justice, International Studies or related field Current college juniors/rising seniors preferred. Pay Range*: $28 - $34 / Hour*Pursuant to California Senate Bill 1162 and New Jersey Senate Bill 2310, IDT is required to disclose the “pay scale” or “pay range” associated with a job posting.
