About the role
Painter Austin Industrial provides premier self-perform maintenance, construction, and soft craft service to leading industrial companies across the U.S. An industry leader for more than 60 years, we offer single-source solutions to our customers in the oil, gas, chemical, food, agriculture, power, and manufacturing industries. Must be able to prepare wood and metal surfaces for painting, and paint equipment, parts, machinery, buildings, and other working areas using a spray gun, brush, and rollers. Other duties may be assigned.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Reads work orders and receives instructions verbally.
Prepare the surface using methods appropriate to remove dirt, oil, and grease, removing old paint, smoothing cracks, coating, and filling holes.
Work at heights with no fear.
May fill cavities and dents with putty to attain a smooth surface.
Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce the desired color, according to specifications using a paddle or mechanical mixer.
May erect scaffolding or set up a ladder to perform tasks above ground level.
Apply paint to the surface using a spray gun, brush, and/or roller.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required for this Position: Education no minimum education requirements. Experience 4 years of Journeyman level experience.
Certification/License:
