Job Description: Machine Operator – Saw Operations
Job Summary: The Machine Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating industrial saw equipment to cut and process materials according to production specifications. The operator will set up and monitor machinery, perform quality checks, make basic machine adjustments, and maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operate industrial saws and other manufacturing equipment to process materials. Set up and adjust machinery according to production specifications and work instructions. Load and position raw materials into the machine. Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain proper production and quality standards. Measure and inspect finished materials using appropriate measuring tools. Identify defects or quality issues and make necessary adjustments. Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic machine maintenance. Safely handle and move raw materials and finished products. Follow production schedules and meet established productivity requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements. Communicate equipment issues, production concerns, and quality problems to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
Qualifications: Previous machine operating, manufacturing, or saw operating experience preferred. Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn industrial machinery. Ability to read and follow work instructions, blueprints, or production specifications. Ability to use basic measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, or gauges. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks. Ability to lift and move materials as required. Previous experience operating saws or cutting equipment is a plus.
