About the role
The Controller is responsible for managing the Accounting department and providing information, primarily financial in nature, about all Company activities that will assist management, its shareholders and other users in making educated economic decisions about the Company's future.
Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including payables and related financial activities, to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to policy and accounting standards. Prepare monthly accounting entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, variance analysis and deferral, and present financial reporting packages versus budget, forecast and prior year Manages quarterly and year-end audits (including financial, benefit and retirement audits)Assure corporate income tax compliance to assure the accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns taking full advantage of all favorable tax codes. Identifies continuous improvement opportunities and recommends new processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required 5+ years of manufacturing accounting experience required 3+ more years supervising & developing a team of direct reports
