About the role
Our client, a multi-billion dollar growing private wealth manager with offices in NYC and CT, is seeking an Equities Portfolio Manager to add to their growing team. This is a senior investment professional who works closely with the broader equities team, client advisory teams and senior leadership on managing new and existing client portfolios. This role combines hands-on investment judgment, active portfolio management in a long term, high quality business model framework, and the ability to clearly explain specific equity research and recommendations. Being able to articulate the firm's investment philosophy as well as macro market views to clients, advisors, and internal partners will be essential.
Location: NYC or CT
Key Responsibilities:
Equities Expertise Research individual equities, sectors, and market trends to choose specific stock investments that fit a client's risk tolerance Tailor equity strategies around individual tax situations, liquidity needs, and long-term financial goals Adjust asset weights and rebalance holdings at regular intervals to maintain target risk-and-return profiles Client Engagement Help clients and advisors understand portfolio positioning, market conditions, and the role of equities within broader client objectives Support the development of portfolio commentary, client letters, and marketingmaterials, particularly during periods of market volatility Participate in client and prospect meetings Team Collaboration Work alongside client advisory and other internal teams to explain market performance and strategy shifts to clients Contribute equities perspective to investment discussions in coordination with the firm’s senior leaders and Investment Committee Collaborate with trading, operations, compliance, and risk teams to support effective implementation, monitoring, and oversight
Requirements:
15-20 years of work experience with a demonstrable equities track record within a wealth management or multi-family office environment with a long-term compounding, quality biasCFA designation and/or advanced degree Passionate about working in wealth management
