The University of Nebraska Omaha is hiring a Director for the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice. The director will provide strategic leadership, oversee academic and operational functions, advance research initiatives, manage faculty and staff, and foster partnerships to enhance the school’s national reputation and community impact. Highlights Provide vision, strategic direction, and operational oversight for the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice. Lead faculty and staff, oversee curriculum development, budgeting, and resource allocation. Promote excellence in teaching, research, and community service. Manage partnerships with criminal justice agencies including DEA, U.S. Secret Service, and local police departments. Oversee research centers including the Nebraska Center for Justice Research and Juvenile Justice Institute. Must hold an earned doctorate in criminology, criminal justice, or a related field and qualify for tenure at associate or full professor level. Experience leading academic units with faculty development, recruitment, and grant management required. Exceptional communication, collaboration, and grant development skills necessary.
Salary range: $130,000 to $185,000 per year. Serves as a key member of the College of Public Affairs and Community Service leadership team.
