The Pulmonary Division in the Department of Medicine at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) at the University of California, San Francisco is recruiting outstanding physicians, physician-scientists and scientists at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor to join the Pulmonary Division. The main duties of this position are to maintain a robust research program as a member of the Pulmonary – ZSFG research community. Physician-scientists will attend on the Pulmonary services at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and be engaged in the teaching of medical students, residents, and pulmonary-critical care fellows. We will also consider academic physicians focused on medical education and advancing clinical care. The successful candidate will be appointed at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor rank, as appropriate based on experience. Required qualifications for physician-scientists include a MD and/or PhD, a minimum of three years research experience, and an exciting independent pulmonary research program. Relevant research areas might include, but are not limited to, genetics, developmental biology, cell and tissue biology, physiology, or patient-based research or epidemiology in pulmonary or cardiovascular diseases. Programs focused on basic, translational, quality improvement or clinical research will be considered. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $136,500-$358,300. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. The University of California is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
